The Brothers of Spontaneous Combustion

The goal of BOSC Comics is simple: To make the types of comics we like. We're not trying to revolutionize comic books, and, at the same time, we're not trying to follow in anyone else's footsteps. Instead, we take influence from the many titles and genres that inspire us and blend them together to create something unique and entertaining. In our comics you will find traces of traditional comic books, manga, video games, hip hop, Saturday morning cartoons, wrestling, and anything else we can manage to fit in.

Being African-American, we naturally design the majority of our characters to look like us. Comic books and many other entertainment genres are often lacking in black characters. We hope that our books can provide an alternative to those looking for a little more diversity in their heroes, but at the same time, we don't consider our books to just be "for black people". Though many of the topics in our titles do come from a black perspective, we still attempt to make comics for everyone. Those comics just happen to star mostly black characters.
